The Financial Times is reporting that there is growing optimism among Democrats that they might be able to regain a majority in the U.S. House of Representatives. “Democrats grow confident of House win”: “Democrats say they are optimistic that they can regain control of the House of Representatives in the November election, an outcome that would mark a sharp reversal from the thumping defeat dealt to the party in 2010.”
Without getting into Republican versus Democrat debates, I say this is bad news because our problem right now is government spending, government debt, and entitlement programs. I’m not sure the Republicans are truly committed to taking the necessary steps to fix these problems, but I am positive the Democrats are not.
I’m not convinced we shouldn’t unelect ALL of them and start over with representatives who will represent those of us who pay taxes and are worried.
