I was just listening to Fox News, and the Fox News Blonde of the Hour was reporting on the power outages in the Northeast from this past weekend’s snow storm. After saying that some people might be without power for up to ten days, she said something along the lines of “Can you imagine some people will have to go ten days without refrigerators, cell phones and blow dryers.” I don’t know about you, but if I was worried about ten days without electricity, that wouldn’t be my list of things I’d miss or need most. Maybe electric lights, heat, hot water, stoves, ovens, microwaves . . . you come up with your own list. But seriously – blow dryers. I’m distressed now thinking about all that bad hair in the frozen northeast.
